Plumbing Wise recently completed the installation of a Worcester Bosch 30 CDi system boiler and a horizontal unvented hot water cylinder in a loft conversion in Enfield.
We were called-in as part of a loft conversion being built by Rooftop Rooms. Once on site our first task was to remove the existing boiler system from downstairs, the hot water cylinder from the airing cupboard space and water tanks from the attic.
The upgrade to the central heating system included a new boiler and hot water tank installation, as well as running new pipework to connect them to the existing central heating system pipework.
As part of maximising the space in the loft conversion we opted to install horizontal hot water cylinder in the eves of the roof. In this case we installed a 210 litre Telford horizontal unvented cylinder within the eves of the attic, as you can see from the photo. We also made neat work of installing the new Worcester Bosch 30 CDi system boiler in the loft space which was neatly concealed close to the tank.
As with all of our installations our Gas Safe heating engineers are very thorough and efficient. Our first priority is always safety and ensuring that the job is done properly. having safely decommissioned the existing boiler and cylinder, the new pipework was made ready for the new boiler and hot water cylinder. Having completed our usual checks to ensure the boiler was connected properly we then performed a power flush of the heating system to ensure that the heating system was free of dirt and debris caused by corrosion in the pipework. This also an essential part of protecting your new boiler and qualifying for the manufacturers warranty.
