A team of heating engineers from Plumbing Wise recently completed the installation of a new boiler and megaflo tank into this property in Wanstead working alongside an excellent building company called Inline Builders from Upminster in Essex.
The property was a six bedroom Victorian house that was being refurbished as well as having just had a single story rear extension built. The homeowners had decided to replace the boiler and upgrade their heating system. They chose one of our Vaillant Ecotec Plus 837 combination boilers as well as opting to have a 250 litre Megaflo tank to provide hot water on demand for the three bathrooms in the property. The megaflo tank allows for a great amount of hot water to be available on demand with adequate pressure for use in the three bathrooms.
As part of the central heating upgrades we also installed underfloor heating throughout the whole ground floor. This not only created a very warm living space, but meant that there was no need for unsightly radiators.
Our heating engineers were able to complete the boiler, megaflo, underfloor heating and heating system upgrades at the property in Wanstead within two days. This meant that the household only went without heating for one evening, and we were able to ensure that they had hot water with the hot water cylinder running off it’s immersion heater.
Suffice to say, our clients were very happy with the quick turnaround of the installation, and the builders were happy as they were then able to continue with the refurbishments. Kevin Brooks of Inline Builders had this to say:
We recently finished a project in Grove Park Wanstead E11 for one of our clients extending and altering an old Victorian house. With the Architects design and with help from Andy of Plumbing Wise and myself we designed the under floor heating and hot water system to the 6 bedroom house and 5 bathrooms. We installed 2 Valliant boilers and 2 megaflos to efficiently run the heating and hot water requirements, the under floor heating is zoned on all 3 levels.
Working as a main contractor with Andy and his team was smooth and professional, works started on schedule and finished on schedule for my client and hand over.
We have two projects in progress that Plumbing Wise are working with us on and two projects we will be starting shortly all for high end clients.
It is always worth remembering to speak to your heating engineers in advance of starting your building or renovation work, so that they can advise you of possible options on your heating system and how the pipes and fittings need to be installed . That way we can come in ahead of a plasterer, carpenter or decorator, and do a ‘first fix’ if necessary. The plasterer or carpenter can then complete the necessary works to conceal the pipework and fittings. Once that is done we finish the installation ahead of the final decorations. This always helps ensure you keep your costs to a minimum and get a clean and tidy finish.
