All of Plumbing Wise’s boiler and heating engineers are qualified, Gas Safe professionals who pride themselves on their high standard of performance, competency and the dependability that they provide for our customers when dealing with any boiler or central heating system installations, breakdowns, repairs or servicing. All of our plumbing and heating engineers carry an electronic PDA which provides them with up to date information on their call-outs; with full details of our clients ,the address and a description of the fault or the extent of the work that is expected to be completed on arrival. We believe this allows our team of heating engineers to be reasonably prepared when they arrive on site, efficiently assist our customers with their boiler problems and get them up and running again as soon as possible.

With Plumbing Wise 85% of the boiler breakdowns that our heating engineers respond to are fixed within the first visit. All of our boiler engineers are fully insured, qualified, Gas Safe registered and are employed directly by Plumbing Wise. We aim to repair your boiler; not just replace it!
A boiler breakdown does not necessarily mean a replacement boiler is required. In fact it is estimated that 70-80% of boiler faults can be repaired or resolved by a qualified heating engineer. Consequently, at Plumbing Wise we will always aim to diagnose a boiler fault and makes repairs to your boiler, rather than simply opt to rip out your boiler system and replace it. However, it is important to be aware that today’s modern central heating boilers are designed in a totally different way to old fashioned back boilers. Modern boiler systems are designed to take advantage of efficiency gains and consequently the initial boiler installation, power flushing and regular servicing is critical to a maintain a boiler and extend its lifespan.
Our boiler replacement, repairs and servicing prices are as transparent as possible.
Plumbing Wise do not add a mark-up to the cost of the boiler parts required for boiler repairs and as such are happy to provide you with proof of purchase from our heating equipment suppliers as evidence of this part of the cost. From a labour point of view, our costs are based entirely on hourly rates (£65/hour plus VAT for first 3 hours and £32.50/hour plus VAT for any hours thereafter). We have listed below a number of boiler components that could develop a fault on a combination boiler (in this instance a Vaillant EcoTec Plus 28kw) The prices shown are for labour and materials and all prices are exclusive of VAT. These are approximate prices and relate to the model shown above. Prices may vary depending on the model and the prices of our suppliers.
